Hybrid office by Edward Ogosta Architecture in California: ”this concept office design for a los angeles creative media agency of thirty workers, contains a menagerie of typological hybrids, which together engender a unique interior world. existing somewhere between furniture and architecture, these hybrid-objects infuse the office functions with new iconographic presence, and abstractly reference nature and the surrounding city. collectively, they foster an atmosphere of creative intensity, and embody the idiosyncratic spirit of the company. an existing 6,000 square foot tilt-up concrete warehouse provides a purified container into which the hybrids are deployed”

From Zoran’s blog: “Hans Liberg has got himself one of the coolest recording studios on planet Earth!  Take a look at this woody gem of a cabin, located in the town of Hilversum, The Netherlands.  Put together by his pal, an established furniture designer by the name of Piet Hein Eek, the structure features an absolutely fabulous facade of stacked logs.  Even a row of clerestory windows get the full log treatment, and when opened they fill the compact interior with natural light…”

Letha Wilson_______ Wall in Blue Ash Tree, 2011, Drywall, joint compound, paint, wood studs, 18’ h x 16’ w x 4” d

This piece is an interior wall built inside and alongside a Blue Ash Tree at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois (outside of Chicago). It was built with a wood stud structure and then faced with ordinary sheetrock, drywall compound, and paint. The wall faces almost due west so from about 12:30 on the sun casts shadows on the wall from the tree limbs and leaves. This particular tree is fairly late to leaf out, so the piece will change considerably throughout the season. The piece is part of the “Nature Unframed” exhibition up from May through November 2011.” (Letha Wilson)
